Ranchi, Oct 19: The High Court of Jharkhand has ensured the recovery of not only the missing girl of a case but also 15 other girls of Jharkhand who were trafficked by a human trafficker. The victim girl, who was traceless has been recovered along with two other girls.
The SP Latehar along with the IO (Investigating Officer) of the case were present with the case and the IO through his affidavit informed the court that the missing girl had been recovered and it was further mentioned in the affidavit that 15 other girls of Jharkhand who were victims of trafficking were also recovered.
The Special Investigating Team (SIT) constituted for the aforesaid purpose had raided various places in Delhi and nearby areas from where eight other girls have been recovered. The SIT on an earlier occasion had also rescued five girls and the statements of all the rescued girls were recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C.
The co-accused, namely, Anima Nageshiya, wife of the appellant, has been arrested by the police and sent to judicial custody.
The Division Bench comprising Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Navneet Kumar has commended the work done by the SIT under the leadership of the SP Latehar.
The Court has hoped and wished that the police ensure speedy rehabilitation of all the recovered trafficked victim children. The Court has directed for the protection of the children from trafficking and for their early and full rehabilitation.
