Ranchi, Feb 8: Jharkhand High Court today quashed the complaint case filed against Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar for his statement terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Mooch Ka Baal (hair of moustache)” and senior Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi terming “poonch ka baal (hair of tail)” at Town Hall in Dhanbad during his visit of the district on January 19, 2016.

The complaint was filed by a Congress party worker Mohammed Kalam Azad who knocked the door of court saying that statement hurt his sentiment.  Following the case, a warrant was issued against Tomar from the court of judicial magistrate R.K. Singh on June 5, 2019.

The order came from the court of Justice S.K.Dwivedi when criminal lawyer Jitendra Shankar Singh assisted by his junior Randhir Kumar argued in the matter. The complaint was pending in the court of judicial magistrate Sikha Agrawal in Dhanbad.
