Ranchi, Nov.16: The Jharkhand High Court has given relief to the home guard jawans who were terminated from their services in 2017 for creating a ruckus at police lines during the Panchayat election in 2015.

The order came from the court of Justice Ananda Sen, where the affected jawans, Ravi Mukherjee, Akhilesh Sinha and others, had filed a petition for relief. The court quashed the termination order and directed the home guard officials to ensure that they resume work. The high court gave eight weeks to decide on their matter.

The court also allowed anticipatory bail petitions of two other jawans, Rajeev Kumar Tiwari and Krishna Yadav, against whom an FIR was registered for disrupting work at Dhurwa police station.
