Ranchi, Nov 29: The Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday directed the state government to submit the report of the committee constituted by the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) to give suggestions for adjustment of para-teachers in government schools.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan gave the direction while hearing petitions of as many as 111 para-teachers working in different government schools across the state. The petition has demanded their absorption as regular teachers and the same salary as them.
The direction came after the high court inquired regarding the steps taken for adjustment of TET qualified para-teachers of the state and the government informed that a committee constituted by JEPC has given its suggestions regarding this.
The court then deferred the hearing in the matter till tomorrow.
