Ranchi, Nov16: The Jharkhand High Court directed JBVNL CMD to appear in person on November 23 in a case relating to a billing dispute.
The development took place in the division bench of Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad after the proprietor of Rani Sati Rice Mill knocked on the door of the court to get back Rs 30 lakh JBVNL owes to the mill.
The situation arose after JBVNL forced Rani Sati Mill to pay Rs 30 lakh accusing the mill of power theft. Later, a competent court termed the accusation wrong and directed to return the collected money from the mill. But JBVNL did not return the amount and rice mill management knocked on the door of the high court for justice.
