Ranchi, Sept. 30: The Supreme Court collegium has recommended the transfer of three High Court judges, reports Bar and Bench.
The judges recommended for transfer are Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra of Uttarakhand High Court (parent High Court being Orissa High Court), Justice K Vinod Chandran of Kerala High Court and Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh of Jharkhand High Court.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India UU Lalit on September 28.
Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh of the Jharkhand High Court has been recommended for transfer to the Tripura High Court.
Justice Singh is the senior-most judge of the Jharkhand High Court.
He was elevated to the High Court in January 2012 and made a permanent judge of the Court on January 12, 2014. He was appointed as Executive Chairman of Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority in April, 2021.
Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra of the Uttarakhand High Court has been recommended for transfer to the Jharkhand High Court.
Justice Mishra is also the senior-most judge of the Uttarakhand High Court.
He was elevated from the District Judiciary to a judge of the Orissa High Court in October 2009. He was transferred to High Court of Uttarakhand in 2021 and was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Court on December 24, 2021 and held the post till June 28, 2022.
Justice K Vinod Chandran of the Kerala High Court has been recommended to be transferred to the Bombay High Court.
Justice Chandran is also the senior-most judge of the Kerala High Court.
He was elevated from the Bar as an Additional Judge of the Kerala High Court in November 2011. He was made a permanent judge of the Court on June 24, 2013.
