Deoghar, March 3: The first-ever flight from Deoghar to Ranchi and Patna is going to take off on March 26. Talking to Lagatar24.com, the Sales Manager of Indigo Dhiraj Sinha confirmed it.
After getting an official nod from DGCA, Indigo Airlines made this announcement and tickets for the above destination are available.
A fare of Rs 3000 to 4000 will be charged per seat on average but it is subject to market dynamics. The journey will be of an hour from Deoghar to Ranchi and Patna and vice versa.
As scheduled, a 70-seater flight will take off around Deoghar and will land in Ranchi.
Scheduled issued by Indigo service there are no return flights on the same day for Ranchi and Patna from Deoghar. However, after May, regular flights will be available as per the schedule.
Flight 6E7944 will be the first direct service from Deoghar to Patna on March 26. It will take off around 11:15 AM from Deoghar and will land at the Jay Prakash Narayan Airport Patna around 12:15 PM.
On the next day, flight 6E7945 will be available from Patna to Deoghar. It will take off around 12:35 and will reach Deoghar at 13:35.
Similarly, the first-ever flight from Ranchi to Deoghar, Flight 6E7964 will take off on March 27 at 3:25 PM and will land at Deoghar around 4:25 PM and Flight 6E7965 will take off around 4:45 PM will reach Ranchi around 5:40 pm.
Moreover, as per the schedule issued by Indigo from the first of June, there will be flights from Ranchi to Deoghar and vice versa. Flight 6E 7964 will be available from Ranchi at 12.40 PM and Flight 6E 7965 will be at 11.15 AM from Deoghar.
Reacting to the schedule issued by Indigo, the President of Santal Paragna Chamber of Commerce & Industries Alok Mallik said a regular service was expected and it should be carried out soon otherwise benefits of air connectivity would not be realised.
Sanjit Singh, president of the Deoghar builder association has echoed the same and demanded a flight for Banglore as it takes more than 36 hours to travel from Deoghar to Bangalore.
He says that there are many from Deoghar and neighbouring districts who have gone there.
