Jharkhand: JCECEB revises schedule of online counselling for MBBS, BHMS and BDS

Ranchi, Feb 15: The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) on Tuesday declared the new schedule for the second round of online counseling for admission in MBBS, BHMS, and BDS courses.

Citing the ‘Advisory for all State Counselling authorities and State DMEs’ released by Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India on February 12, 2022; officials at the JCECEB stated that the latest advisory mandates ‘state may revise their schedule such that each round of State quota Counseling is conducted after the All India Quota counseling conducted by MCC of DGHS as per the direction issued by the Supreme Court in a case.’

As per officials, the final date earlier for submission of application by left out interested candidates was between Feb 8 and Feb 10. However, now the date has been changed to Feb 15 to Feb 17. The Provisional State Merit list for the second round of counseling with newly added candidates will be published on Feb 20.

Any kind of objections can be made on the Provisional State Merit list for the second round of counseling can be done on Feb 22, wherein, applicants will have to provide supporting documents for correction on the board’s email id controller.jceceb@gmail.com.

The final State Merit list will be published on Feb 24, after which online registration and the process of filling choices for desired seats for allotment will be done from Feb 25 to March 1. Provisional seat allotment letters will then be issued between March 5 and March 9. Meanwhile, document verification and admission in the concerned institute will also be allowed between March 5 and 9.

However, the candidates have to pay the application/registration and interview fee through a payment gateway by credit card/debit card/net banking/UPI will be non refundable.

As per information released by the Board, the application fee for General/EWS/BC I/BC II will be Rs.500 whereas the counseling fee will be Rs.1000. For SC/ST/Female candidates of all categories, the application fee will be Rs.250 while the counseling fee will be Rs.500. Meanwhile, any kind of application fee has not been set for differently abled candidates of other categories, but the counseling fee for these candidates will be Rs.500.
