Jharkhand logs 135 fresh Covid cases, 299 recoveries in last 24 hours

Ranchi, Feb 16: New Covid infections, continued to decrease with 135 new cases being reported during the last 24 hours in the state on Tuesday taking the total number of active cases to 1,314 with 299 recoveries and no casualty.

As many as 42,104 samples were tested across the state on Tuesday of which 135 returned positive, indicating a positivity rate of 0.32%.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic has reached 4,33,550 out of which 4,26,921 have recovered and 5,315 have scummed to the virus.

East Singhbhum with 52 new cases remained at the top followed by Ranchi with 23 new cases.

The recovery rate stood at 98.47% and the mortality rate at 1.22%.
