Jharkhand logs 2,617 fresh cases, 12 deaths in last 24 hours

Ranchi, Jan 20: New Covid infections, continued to decrease with 2,617 new cases being reported during the last 24 hours in the state on Wednesday taking the total number of active cases to 27,422 with 3,769 recoveries and four deaths.

While five casualties were reported from East Singhbhum, two from Ranchi and one case each from Khunti, Latehar, Palamu, Ramgarh and West Singhbhum.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic has reached 4,12,939 out of which 3,80,292 have recovered and 5,225 have scummed to the virus.

Ranchi with 809 new cases remained at the top followed by East Singhbhum with 525 new cases.
