Ranchi, Jan 12: The students of all model schools in Jharkhand will be provided vocational training for 11 different courses. The initiative has been taken to provide holistic, skill-based, employment-oriented education to the children of Jharkhand.
The 11 different courses are – Agriculture, IT, ITES, Apparel, Make-up and Home Furnishing, Media and Entertainment, Automotive, Tourism and Hospitality, Beauty and Wellness, Multiskilling, Electronics and Hardware, Retail and Healthcare.
Moreover, Vocational Education Labs will be launched in a state-level program in March.
Notably, arrangements are being made to facilitate on-job training through industrial field visits to state-level establishments and institutions associated with the respective trade, so that employment opportunities can be made available to the students as per their interests.
Furthermore, online training of Principals of 80 model schools and 325 block-level model schools has been given by the National Center for School Leadership in two phases. Plans are in place to organise exposure visits for the principals and teachers to such schools of other states so that they get acquainted with the educational facilities available there.
In January, training will be imparted by IIMs for the capacity building of principals.
Moreover, the Azim Premji Foundation Framework has been prepared for the Teaching Needs Assessment (TNA) of teachers of secondary and higher secondary schools.
