Ranchi, Dec.16: Notorious criminal Lavkush Sharma, the mastermind of the Morabadi gangwar case, was arrested from Arwal in Bihar. SSP’s Quick Response Team (QRT) arrested him and his father Giani Sharma from Arwal market in Bihar.
As Sharma was being arrested, a locality resident informed the police that Sharma was a pickpocket in the locality but after he went to Jharkhand he became notorious as a gangster.
The police team was behind Sharma after one Kalu Lama died while two others including Raju Lama and Sohan Vishwakarma sustained injuries on January 27 after four assailants riding on two motorbikes opened more than six rounds of fire on a car passing through Morabadi ground under Lalpur police station in the high security zone of Jharkhand capital.
The place of occurrence is close to the residence of JMM chief Shibu Soren, DC, SSP, State Guest House, Ranchi University PG department besides other prominent locations.
