Hazaribag, Nov 25: Rajpur police on Friday attached the property of a wanted Maoist Sahdev Yadav in Sikid village. A police team led by officer-in-charge of Rajpur police station, Vikas Paswan reached Sikid and attached the property. Yadav carries a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head. Even his house was demolished by using an earthen mover. This action came on the order of court which ordered attachment of Maoist’s properties after he was found absconding in a case of violence (90/15) from long.
Police at first pasted a poster on the house of Maoist asking him to surrender failing which attachment action was taken. Paswan said this action taken after he got an instruction in this regard from superintendent of police Rakesh Ranjan. Police officials warned other active extremists to surrender or to face such actions in coming days.
On Nov 16 also, Chatra police has attached the property of most wanted Maoist Gautam Paswan carrying a reward of Rs 25 lakh on his head. A joint team of Rajpur and Pratappur police had attached his property and damaged the house. Paswan is member of special area committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist).
