Jharkhand police register FIR against union minister, BJP MPs, ex-CMs

Ranchi, April 12: The Jharkhand Police registered an FIR against 41 people, including three former chief ministers (CM) and MPs besides thousands of unknown BJP workers at Dhurwa police station after they clashed with them at Dhurwa roundabout after being restrained from lay siege to the Jharkhand secretariat under the “Hemant Hatao” programme.

The FIR was registered late Tuesday night on the statement of executive magistrate Upendra Kumar, who accused the three former CMs and parliamentarians of rioting, disobeying government instructions, obstructing government officers from performing their duty and abetting the commission of an offence and causing harm to another person.

The three former chief ministers, a police official said, who have been named in the FIR include Babulal Marandi, Raghubar Das and Arjun Munda, who is presently union minister also.  The list of parliamentarians includes Sanjay Seth, Nishikant Dubey, Sameer Oraon, Sunil Kumar Singh. The list of legislators included Amit Mandal and Viranchi Narayan Singh.
