Ramgarh, Jan 4: Under the banner of Jharkhand State Sakal Jain Samaj, a huge silent rally will be organised on January 5, 2023, in Giridih in relation to not making Shri Sammed Shikharji, the holy pilgrimage site of Jain society a tourist destination.
Sammed Shikharji is the biggest holy place of pilgrimage of the Jain community in the whole world, from where 20 out of 24 Tirthankaras of Jainism have attained salvation along with Anantnath sages, this holy area is the centre of faith of Jain society.
Efforts are being made by the Jharkhand Government and the Central Government to declare our holy pilgrimage place Ji Sammed Shikhar Ji as a tourist destination and to develop it as a tourist destination, in protest against which there is a vigorous peace demonstration in the whole country and abroad.
Jain society has not demanded anything from the government to date, but Jain society has always been contributing significantly to the development of the country and will continue to do so.
“In this context, the Ramgarh Jain community is also going to join the silent procession in Giridih tomorrow,” said Manik Chand Jain Patni, President, of Shree Digambar Jain Samaj Ramgarh.
