Ranchi, June 6: The Jharkhand team has defeated Tamil Nadu 6-0 to secure a place in the semi-final of the Khelo India Youth Games Under-18 Women’s Football organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
In their first match, they defeated Manipur 3-0. The first and third goal was scored by Alpha Kandulana and the second goal by Babita Kumari.
In the second match, they beat Tamil Nadu 6-0. Alpha Kandulana scored 4 goals including a hat-trick. At the same time, Babita Kumari and Vikshit Bada scored 1 goal each.
With this win, Jharkhand’s team has reached the semi-finals. The Sports Department and CAA congratulated the players on reaching the semi-finals.
