Jharkhand wrestling team announced for National championship

Dhanbad, Aug 12: Wrestlers of Ranchi and Palamu got a major share in 15-member men and women Jharkhand state wrestling teams for National Championship to be held in Chennai ( Tamil Nadu) from August 28 to 30.

Jharkhand State Wrestling Association (JSWA) president Bhola Nath Singh and secretary of host Dhanbad District Wrestling Association Arvind Singh on Thursday said that players were selected on the basis of their performance in the state championship held in Dhanbad in which 70 women and men wrestlers of 11 districts had participated.
“ Wrestlers who emerged first, second and third in each event were selected in the team,” said  Arvind Singh, organizing secretary of the state championship.
Selected players of the team are—
Women 50 Kg- First – Anmol Kumari ( Koderma), second- Manisha Oraon ( Gumla). 60 Kg – Bijeta Oraon ( Gumla), 70 Kg  Pyari Kumari ( Gumla).

Men’s team- 70Kg Mritunjay Nath ( Bokaro), Aniket Kumar ( Ranchi), Md Shaif ( Jamshedpur ), 80 Kg- Vijay Kumar (Bokaro), Vishnu Kumar ( Ranchi) Nishant Kumar( Dhanbad ), 90 Kg– Mahesh Tamangdey ( Jamshedpur), Satyam Kumar ( Deoghar). Above 90 Kg – Vivek Choudhary ( Ranchi) Prakash  Pandey ( Jamshedpur), Kaushal Kumar ( Dhanbad).
