Ranchi, Nov 22: Jharkhand’s own brand, ‘Palash’ has gone from being a local brand to being a global presence. 9 out of 60 products of Palash brand go live for sale on global e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart.
The products include pickles, mustard oil, jeera ful rice and arhar dal. People around the globe can now buy the products with ease with them available on global platforms.
The other products of this brand will be available on these platforms by the end of December as the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) is working to get compliance from the e-commerce platforms.
CEO JSLPS, Nancy Sahay, said that to get a bigger market for the natural products made by the women of Sakhi Mandal, a MoU has been signed with Flipkart and Amazon.

“By this initiative, all the products of Palash will be available on Amazon and Flipkart in upcoming days. With this, there will be a rise in the income of women which will encourage other rural women to integrate with Palash brand,” Sahay said.
3 orders have been received from Amazon and successfully delivered till now. JSLPS is working to sign a MoU with the local courier partners to expedite the cost-effective delivery as Amazon and Flipkart don’t deliver liquid products on their own.
