Dhanbad, Aug 27: The political turmoil in the state has cast a shadow on the installation ceremony of the newly elected office–bearer of the Jharkhand Health Service Association (JHSA), the frontal organization of state government medical officers (doctors) for 2022-24 session.
The result of the election was declared on August 21 but even after a week, the JHSA mentors have not decided on the date for the installation ceremony so the newly elected body assumes the charge. The newly elected president of JHSA Dr PP Shah said that the date would be finalized soon.
The outgoing JHSA secretary Dr Bimlesh Kumar Singh when contacted on Saturday said that a meeting of the organization ( JHSA) would be held on Wednesday, August 31, to finalize the date of the installation ceremony.
“Since Health Minister Banna Gupta and other prominent dignitaries would be invited at the function to grace the occasion, the date would be finalized after getting their consent,” said Dr Bimlesh Kumar Singh. The outgoing secretary Dr Singh said last time too installation ceremony was held after 15 days of the result.
However, a senior office–bearer in the outgoing JHSA executive committee said that the date earlier was fixed on September 4 (Sunday) for the installation ceremony of the newly elected body but in wake of political uncertainty hovering over the state, the programme has been held up.
The office –bearer said that the JHSA is in wait and watch condition. In case the guard is changed in the state and a new government is formed, the list of guests would have to be prepared on the basis of the situation. So the date has not been fixed.
“Political situation in the state would be clear in two weeks. If all goes as per plan, the guests’ list would be finalized and the function can be held on September 11 ( Sunday) at Ranchi,” said an office bearer of the old committee, requesting anonymity.
