J&K: Bus carrying 39 security force personnel falls into riverbed in Pahalgam

Srinagar, Aug 16: A bus carrying 39 members of the security forces overturned and fell into a riverbed today in Jammu and Kashmir. The accident, which is said to have been caused by brake failure, is believed to have left several people dead.

The incident happened as the troops were travelling from Chandanwari to Pahalgam. 37 members of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and 2 members of the Jammu and Kashmir Police were travelling in the bus.
