J&K: Kashmiri Pandit shot dead by terrorists in Shopian, brother injured

Srinagar, Aug 16: In Kashmir’s Shopian area, terrorists shot and killed a Kashmiri Pandit, injuring the victim’s brother in the process. Brother of the victim has been taken urgently to the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kumar son of Arjun Nath, while his brother has been identified as Pintu Kumar.

To find the attackers, the area has been cordoned off.

“One person dead, one injured in firing by terrorists on civilians in an apple orchard in Chotipora area of Shopian. Both the deceased and injured belong to the minority community. The injured person has been shifted to hospital. Area cordoned off,” said Kashmir Zone Police.

Further details are awaited.
