J&K: Forces gun down LeT terrorist, one other in Kulgam

Kulgam, May 8: Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam area on Sunday, police stated, adding that one of the two ultras was a Pakistani terrorist from the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Security personnel conducted a cordon and search operation in the Cheyan Devsar area of the south Kashmir district after receiving information regarding the presence of terrorists, according to a police official.

“Out of the 2, one Pakistani terrorist Haider was involved in 2 recent terror crimes in Bandipora leading to 6 deaths: incl a CT, an SgCT, SPO & 3 policemen. The other local terrorist Shahbaz Shah was involved in a civilian killing,” said IGP Kashmir.
