Ranchi, May 8: After allegations made by IAS Pooja Singhal’s CA Sumant Kumar regarding him being pressurized to name Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Pooja Singhal and Vinay Choubey in the case, the workers of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Sunday, staged a sit-in protest outside the BJP headquarters.

Notably, CA Suman Kumar while being sent into custody after an investigation at Sadar Hospital on Saturday evening, had said that he was being pressured to name the Chief Minister, Pooja Singhal and Vinay Choubey in the said case. CA Suman Kumar was arrested by the ED on Saturday after the ED had recovered cash worth crores from the house of CA Suman Kumar during a raid on Friday.

Meanwhile, JMM District President Mushtaq Alam said that a conspiracy is being hatched under the leadership of the BJP to defame a tribal chief minister. “If BJP does not change this attitude, then JMM will take to the road and hold a fierce protest against the BJP,” he added.

JMM leader Mahua Manjhi on the other hand said the BJP leadership is unable to sit back and see the development of the state under the leadership of a tribal chief minister. She further added, “A conspiracy is being hatched to accuse the Chief Minister and JMM strongly opposes it. Right now the party is holding a symbolic protest against the BJP. If the BJP does not change its attitude, then this protest will take a fierce form on the streets.”

On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo has strongly counterattacked the protest. He asked JMM whether the protest was against the mines for Chief Minister Hemant Soren or was the protest against the Hemant government looting the hard-earned money of the people of Jharkhand. The BJP spokesperson further added that JMM is protesting because now the countdown against the government has begun.
