In July 2021, 11 workers of the Jammu and Kashmir government were fired due to their ties to terrorism. Two sons of Hizbul Mujahideen founder Syed Salahudin were among those sacked.

Syed Ahmad Shakeel and Shahid Yousuf, Salahudin’s sons, were allegedly implicated in terror fundraising.

Both individuals were discovered to be involved in raising, receiving, collecting, and transferring cash for Hizbul Mujahideen terror activities through hawala transactions, according to the NIA.

Earlier today, Security forces killed two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants which included Rayees Ahmad Bhat, the editor-in-chief of Valley Media Service, an unnamed news gathering firm.
