New Delhi, Nov 20: Three armed hybrid terrorists have been captured by security personnel in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.
During a Naka check at Shalteng in Srinagar, the security personnel apprehended the terrorist and found weapons and ammo in their car.
The arrests happened as security forces and terrorists were engaged in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district that started early in the morning and resulted in the death of a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) hybrid terrorist.
According to police, the gunfight began in the Bijbehara neighbourhood of the Anantnag district’s Cheki Dudoo. Teams of police and army personnel have been on duty.
Terrorists opened fire when the search team arrived at the alleged hideout, injuring one LeT hybrid terrorist, Sajjad Tantray of Kulgam, according to the police.
Tantray was part of the team searching for the hideout. Police said that after being taken to the hospital, the doctors there declared him dead.
