Ranchi, Aug.19: JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya today asked the BJP to clear the official position of Sunil Tiwary in the party.
Bhattacharya raised the demand during a press conference a day after BJP legislature party chief and former chief minister of state, Babulal Marandi, came to the rescue of his political advisor, Sunil Tiwary, after police booked him in a case of sexual exploitation.
“BJP workers did not recognise Tiwary as a party man but yesterday Marandi, in an official press conference gave due recognition to Tiwary as his political advisor and came to his rescue in a case of sexual exploitation. In this situation, the BJP should clear its stand on Tiwary and sexual exploitation of a girl,” Bhattacharya said.
Bhattacharya, on the occasion, also asked Marandi to share details of his foreign tour and share the name of co-passengers.
“Marandi is in public life and thus he should share details of his foreign tours and this can be taken from his passport,” Bhattacharya said.
He justified his demand saying ‘it will help convert prime minister Modi’s vision of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao into reality.’
