Ranchi, March 14: Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Deepak Prakash alleged Congress and JMM of being competitors of each other as far as appeasement of a particular minority community is concerned.
Leveling the allegation, the BJP leader suggested parties do a competition on the development front instead of doing a competition in the appeasing of some specific communities.
Presenting examples of appeasement, he said whether the criminal involved in the Rupesh Pandey murder case or the incident of rape of a Dalit minor in Petarwar, the government and the police are busy giving protection to the criminals. “If it was not so, then all the accused would have been behind bars by now,” he said, adding that in the Sanju Pradhan case, the accused are still at large.
He said that the policy of appeasement is extremely dangerous for a healthy democracy. At the time when people are complaining about basic facilities, the state has turned into jungle raj, he alleged.
