Dumka, July 19: JMM MLA from Borio Lobin Hembrom sniffs political vendetta against him into the arrest of his son Ajay Hembrom for raising voice against prevailing corruption in the stone mining industry in Sahibganj district and elsewhere in Santhal Pargana.

Lobin’s son was arrested by Godda police from his native village Nunajore in Mahagama police station of Godda district on Saturday night (July 16) in connection with an FIR lodged against him at Lalmatiya police station of Godda district on June 28 last for having allegedly submitted fake genealogy to get appointed in the Lalmatiya (Godda) based Rajmahal Coal Project of the ECL.

Lobin had till recently embarrassed his own government, particularly Chief Minister Hemant Soren by taking to the streets to raise his voice against the indiscriminate stone mining activities in parts of the Sahibganj district.

The arrest of Lobin’s son by Godda police as such is largely being viewed in the backdrop of his move to disrepute CM Hemant Soren and his political representative Pankaj Mishra in particular and the ruling dispensation at large.

“The way FIR against my son was lodged by the Godda district administration after nearly one and half decade of his service in the Rajmahal project, it speaks in volume about the same being politically motivated,” Lobin stated from Ranchi on Monday.

The FIR against Lobin’s son, however, was lodged by the executive magistrate of Mahgama on such directive of the then deputy commissioner of Godda Bhor Singh Yadav based on the report of a two-member enquiry committee, constituted by him earlier, having found the allegations of submission of fictitious genealogy to be true.

After fourteen years since Lobin’s son Ajay Hembrom was appointed in the Rajmahal project based on the genealogy submitted by him wherein he is mentioned to be the Ghar Jamai of one of the land losers of the ECL’s Rajmahal project, one Manjhli Murmu, one of the land losers, had complained to the deputy commissioner of Godda on April 3 claiming him to have not anyway linked with her family.

Meanwhile, the ECL management has already suspended Ajay Hembrom from the service a week ago after lodging of the FIR against him.

“He (Ajay Hembrom) was appointed being a land loser for the Rajmahal project based on the genealogy issued by the circle officer concerned which after been found to be fictitious promoted us to put him under suspension,” S K Pradhan, the area personal manager of the Rajmahal project said.
