New Delhi, Jan 17: The tenure of JP Nadda as Bharatiya Janata Party National President has been extended till June 2024 on Tuesday. He will remain the BJP chief for the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls.

“The tenure of JP Nadda as national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party has been extended till June 2024,” announced BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The term for Nadaa Ji as the Party President has been extended till June 2024.

Throughout his leadership-term, the organisation of the Party has worked on the principle of 'Seva Hi Sangathan' right from the booth to the national levels.

“Under JP Nadda’s leadership, we had the highest strike rate in Bihar. The NDA won a majority in Maharashtra, won in Uttar Pradesh, and our numbers increased in West Bengal. We also registered a landslide victory in Gujarat,” added Amit Shah.

Talking about the general elections 2023, Amit Shah said, “I am sure that under the leadership of Modi ji and with Nadda ji, we will win more seats than 2019 in 2024 polls.”

During pandemic, our Party has done a lot of significant works under Nadda Ji's leadership; be it about providing food and ration to the poor or about taking people to hospital for check-ups and treatment.

The announcement was made on the second and final day of the BJP’s National Executive Meeting held in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top leaders including Union Home minister Amit Shah, Defence minister Rajnath Singh, party president JP Nadda and BJP chief ministers were attending the all-important meeting.

JP Nadda has started as the BJP working president in 2019 when then-party chief Amit Shah became a Union minister. He took up the full-time presidency in 2020. His extension as the national president of the saffron party was anticipated.

Notably, the tenure of JP Nadda as BJP chief has been extended till June 2024. He will be the BJP national president during the next general elections, expected to be held in May 2024.
