JPSC announces vacancies for 234 medical officers

Applicants may apply from January 11

Ranchi, Jan 9: JPSC is set to appoint 234 Medical Officers in the state. Of these, 232 posts are of regular and two posts are of backlog. Interested candidates can fill the online form from January 11, 2022 till 5 PM on February 9, 2022. However, the examination fee can be paid by 11.45 PM on February 10, 2022.

The hard copy of the online application can be submitted by 5 PM on February 18, 2022. In the regular 232 posts, there are 101 posts for unreserved, 81 posts for ST, 13 posts for SC, 10 posts for BC 1, 12 posts for BC 2 and 15 posts for EWS. Whereas on a parallel basis two posts for primitive tribes, 12 posts for women, five posts for sports and nine posts for disabled are included. At the same time, two posts of backlog belong to ST.

In the instructions issued by the commission, it has been said that in the event that applications are either less or equal to five times the proposed number, the commission will send a recommendation by selecting the eligible candidate through direct interview. In case there are more applications than this, there will be a written test to check eligibility.

In case of a written test, there will be four papers of 100 marks each. Applicants will get two hours for each paper. All the questions will be Multiple Choice Objective Type, while the Interview will be for 20 marks.

Educational qualification has been made the medium for selection by interview only. Under this, 10 marks for matriculation, 15 marks for inter, 55 marks for MBBS and 20 marks for interview, a total of 100 marks have been decided on. The MBBS marks will be decided on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the applicants in all the semesters.
