Ranchi, Jan.25: Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Mains examination scheduled from January 28 has been deferred.

The situation came after the recruitment agency submitted before the court that it will reconsider the claims of the appellants and verify the preliminary merit list and stated that examination that was scheduled from January 28 will be deferred.

As the JPSC submitted, the matter challenging conduction of mains examination without clearing doubt over JPSC PT result was fixed for hearing on February 15.

Kumar Sanyam had filed the appeal after a single judge bench of the high court refused to put a stay on JPSC mains examination. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice S.N.Prasad heard the matter.

The development took place a day after the high court asked JPSC to provide category-wise results asking how reservation was given in PT examination though it was not mentioned in the advertisement published for recruitment.
