Ranchi, Jan 7: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) will interview 83 candidates for appointment to 27 posts of Assistant Professors in History (Backlog) in state universities on January 11 and 12. Meanwhile, the documents of these candidates will be verified on January 10 and 11 in the commission office itself.

Notably, a call letter has not been sent by the commission to the candidates appearing for the paper verification and interviews. All the candidates appearing in the interview will have to present a 10 slide powerpoint presentation of 10 minutes for the occasion.

Of the 83 candidates, 46 are from Scheduled Tribes, 16 from Scheduled Castes, 18 from BC-1 and three from BC-2. Although Ranchi University does not have any vacancy in History, 12 posts are vacant in Vinoba Bhave University, four posts in Sido-Kanhu Murmu University, six in Nilamber-Pitamber University and five are vacant in Kolhan University.

Teaching skills along with subject knowledge will be checked during the presentation. The power point presentation has to be brought on a pen drive. All the candidates must also bring a recent passport size photograph with them. If working somewhere, then an NOC certificate will be required to be brought from the concerned place. Candidates are also asked to send their self-signed documents to the e-mail id (ap52018@jpsc.gov.in) by January 12 2022.
