JSSC set to invite applications for 3120 PGT teachers in plus two schools

Ranchi, Aug 5: The Jharkhand Staff Selection Committee (JSSC) is set to invite applications for recruitment in 3120 posts of 3120 post-graduate trained teachers in plus two schools. These include 2,855 regular posts and 265 backlog posts.

Of these, 2341 posts will be filled by direct appointment, while 779 posts will be filled from high school graduate trained teachers who have served a minimum of three years in secondary schools. The process of application for these posts will start from August 25 and the last date to apply is September 23, 2022.

Qualification

To apply for TGT posts, the candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognised university with a degree in B.Ed or B.El.Ed. It is also necessary to pass the Jharkhand TET or CTET exam. To apply for PGT posts, the candidate should have a post-graduation degree in the relevant subject.

Selection Process

The candidates will be selected on the basis of the computer-based main examination. According to the notification released by JSSC, the exam of +2 PG-trained teachers will be conducted in online mode. It will have MCQ questions. Paper 1 will have 100 questions from General Knowledge and Hindi. Whereas in Paper 2, will be the main subject that the said candidate is giving the exam for. This will have 300 marks.

It will be necessary to score at least 33 marks in Paper 1 to pass the exam, while it will be necessary to score 50 per cent marks in Paper 2 as the merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks of Paper 2. On the other hand, reserved category candidates will have an exemption from scoring 50 per cent as the cut-off is 45.

Age

The minimum age limit of the candidates to apply has been fixed at 21 years, and the maximum age limit has been fixed at 40 years, other categories will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit.

Application Process

Interested candidates may go to the official website of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission https://jssc.nic.in/ and read the notification carefully before filling out the application form.
