Ranchi, April 11: Veteran leader and former Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha Kariya Munda, who was admitted to the Bhagwan Mahavir MEDICA super speciality hospital, Ranchi on Monday, has tested with both pneumonia and diabetes.
According to Director Critical Care and Medical Director Dr Vijay Kumar Mishra, Kariya Munda is presently stable where he has been kept under a continuous supply of oxygen.
“The test report clearly reflected that he has both pneumonia and diabetes. His left lung is infected and only 50% of the lung is functional. In such a case, we have started the treatment by giving him antibiotics,” Dr Vijay said.
The doctor further added that his infected lung does not have any water deposits. If the oxygen saturation level further decreases then he might be shifted onto the ventilator. Also, his Covid test report came negative.
