Jamshedpur, Sept 9: Kaushal Kishore will replace the senior SP, Prabhat Kumar here in East Singhbhum district tomorrow.
The erstwhile Ranchi SSP Kaushal Kishore has already been transferred as SSP, Jamshedpur and he will assume his new assignment most probably on Sunday.
Senior SP, Prabhat Kumar confirmed about his transfer from Jamshedpur and said he will be reporting at the police headquarters in Ranchi after he hands over the charge to the new incumbent Kaushal Kishore.
Transfer of the senior SP Prabhat Kumar from Jamshedpur came like a bolt from the blue in the police circle here. He had joined the as the senior SP here just a little over a year — on July 15, 2022.
As a police captain of the district, Kumar had proved his mettle by successfully maintaining law and order in this sensitive city during his stints as the senior SP, Jamshedpur and also as the City SP here earlier.
“The chemistry behind Prabhat Kumar’s sudden transfer is beyond my wit but the step is certain to make the ensuing Durga Puja a challenging job for the new SSP, ” observed a police officer while talking to lagatar24.com requesting anonymity.
