Khunti: Police gun down PLFI militant Laka Pahan in encounter

Khunti, May 4: An encounter took place between the police and PLFI militants in the Indipeedi Kota forest of the Murhu police station area. PLFI militant Laka Pahan is reported to have been killed in the encounter. This action has been taken on the basis of secret information received by the police.

Khunti SP Aman Kumar said that he had received secret information that Naxalites were hiding in the Indipeedi Kota forest. After that, the police team reached the forest to raid it. Seeing the police, the militants started firing. The police retaliated by starting to encircle the militants. In which PLFI militant Laka Pahan was killed. At the same time, his squad has succeeded in escaping.

Khunti SP Aman Kumar said that after the deployment of the FSL team and magistrate for the spot, the body would be taken out of the forest.
