New Delhi, May 19: Kiren Rijiju on Friday took over as Minister of Earth Sciences, and he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving him the chance to manage several different ministries.
Rijiju, who was removed from his position as Minister of Law on Thursday, refused to comment on his previous position, saying that the questions weren’t relevant anymore and that he was eager to join the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
“Don’t ask questions related to the previous ministry as they are no longer relevant,” Rijiju responded to inquiries about whether his numerous run-ins with the judiciary led to his removal as Law Minister.
