Koderma, March 15: Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan chaired a meeting for the implementation of a free medical facility under the Lifeline Express Hospital Train Project. In this meeting, the Lifeline Express Hospital Train Project was explained in detail by Ajay Kumar, a representative of Impact India Foundation.
He informed that a health camp will be organised in Koderma district from March 21 to April 25 under the Lifeline Express Hospital train project, wherein all kinds of health checkups including eye, ear, ortho, plastic surgery and dental check-up will be done for patients. The first screening of the patients will take place followed by surgeries if required, he informed.
The train which has seven bogies is to reach here on April 5. It has three operation theatres having a facility similar to a super speciality hospital. Patients will get the treatment facility from April 5 to April 21, officials added.
According to him, its main objective is to provide medical assistance to remote and inaccessible areas. Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan said that the health department has an important role in the Lifeline Express Hospital Train Project program. Instructions were given to identify the site for the Lifeline Express Hospital Train Project program. Along with this, the responsibility was given to the concerned officer to complete all the facilities for the Lifeline Express Hospital Train Project programme.
Sources said the health department, Block development officer, district social welfare officer, child development project officer, and social organisations will work in coordination with each other.
The Block development officer, and in-charge medical officer also instructed to hold a meeting with local public representatives and social organisations regarding this programme. Those present in the meeting include zila parishad president Ramdhan Yadav, deputy development commissioner Rituraj, additional collector Anil Tirkey, district transport officer Bhagirath Prasad and district public relations officer Shivnandan Badaik. All Block development officers, circle officers and representatives of various organisations attended the meeting through video conferencing.
