Tarapur, Oct.27: Lalu Prasad, the head of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), addressed a poll rally in Tarapur, Bihar, after a six-year absence. Despite the fact that the former Bihar chief minister appeared fragile due to health difficulties, Lalu was in his element blasting Nitish Kumar on a variety of grounds.
Lalu criticised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA government in the state, claiming that unemployment and corruption have skyrocketed under the current administration and that nothing has been done to solve the problems.
Lalu then mocked Nitish by recalling what he had said about not joining the BJP. “Earlier, he used to say ‘mitti mein mil jayenge, lekin BJP ke saath nahi jayenge (I would like to die but not to go with the BJP)’, but see what happened,” Lalu added, drawing a round of applause from the audience.
“He threatened I’ll get him killed because of my visarjan comment… I’m not going to murder you; you’re going to die on your own,” Lalu went on to say something else.
pic.twitter.com/vjFIC6zgki

Bypolls in Tarapur and Kusheshwarsthan are due to take place on October 30, with results expected on November 2.
Despite being members of the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance), the RJD and the Congress have both announced candidates, increasing the chasm between the alliance parties.
