Daltonganj, June 6: RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav today reached Daltonganj by a chopper. He landed at the Chiyanki airstrip in Daltonganj.
State RJD president Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav said, “Our supremo is to appear in a 2009 case of violation of model code of conduct here in the civil court on June 8.”
Sanjay said the case revolves around the landing of the chopper of Lalu Yadav in 2009 at the open field instead of the helipad made at the campus of the Gobind High School at Garhwa. He was on a poll campaign in 2009.
Sanjay said the chopper had landed in the open field as people were found sitting on the trees and rooftops and it was not safe then for the chopper to land at the prescribed helipad.
“However, it was seen as a violation of the model code of conduct,” added the state RJD president.
