Daltonganj, Dec 3: Latehar Civil Surgeon Dr Haren Chandra Mahto on Friday pushed off for the most Naxal infested areas in Siram and Dari Chhapar of Latehar district to give an impetus to the covid vaccination.
Mahto said he met people en route to these areas and urged them to take the jab. Their response or reaction was slow but after some motivation, they agreed to take the vaccine.
The Civil Surgeon entered the downhill side of Garu, while DC Latehar Abu Imran went to Mahuadanr and Netarhat for the vaccination.
The 3 days mega vaccination drive has started today in Mahuadanr, Herhanj and Garu.
“The civil surgeon is very concerned about the pace of the vaccination. We are doing our utmost for it. The problem is that the people don’t cooperate,” Medical officer in charge of the referral hospital Garu Dr Arvind Kumar said.
The ANM Durgawati Kumari informed that 25 jabs were given at Siram and Dari Chhapar on Friday.
