Latehar: Police clash with JJMP militants, recover 400 rounds of cartridges and rifle

Latehar, Sept 18: The Jharkhand Police on Sunday seized 400 rounds of live bullets after an encounter with the JJMP militants in Kedli Toli located in Sadar police station area.

However, the militants managed to escape taking advantage of the dense forest. During the search operation after the encounter, the police have recovered 400 rounds of live bullets and a rifle from the forest. A campaign is being launched to nab the militants.

Notably, the District SP Anjani Anjan had received information that the militants were planning some big incident by gathering near Kedli Toli. As soon as the police team reached the spot, the militants started firing. However, after heavy firing by the police, the militants were forced to retreat and fled taking advantage of the dense forest.

Confirming the incident, SP Anjani Anjan said that there was an encounter with JJMP militant organization. A huge cache of bullets and weapons have been recovered. A campaign is being launched to nab the militants.
