Jamshedpur, April 8: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light rain in western Jharkhand today. The rain is likely to be accompanied by a thunderstorm at isolated places over the west and adjoining central parts of the state.
Weathermen said no significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand. The trough or wind discontinuity was today running from central Madhya Pradesh to south Tamil Nadu across Vidarbha, Marathawada, interior Karnataka at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.
Light rain or thunderstorm is also expected at isolated places over southern and adjoining central parts of the state on Sunday.
Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24-hours. The highest maximum temperature of 38.0°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 17.6°C was recorded at Garhwa.
