Jamshedpur, Aug 27: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light rain over Jharkhand on Saturday.
The Met Centre also issued an alert of lightning in isolated areas.
According to weathermen, Ranchi and its adjoining areas shall witness light cloud cover with one or two spells of rain on Saturday.
Weathermen said the intensity of rain would be more tomorrow. IMD’s forecast suggests heavy rain in some pockets of northern Jharkhand tomorrow.
Rain statistics revealed that against normal rainfall of 759.1 mm, the state has so far received 561.5 mm, a deficit of 26 per cent
Satellite pictures suggested light rainfall activity in several districts today including Palamu, Hazaribagh, Deoghar, Simdega and three districts of the Kolhan region.
