Ranchi: Leaders from the ruling alliance in Jharkhand staged a protest outside the state assembly against the shortage of LPG cylinders and the rising prices of petrol and diesel. During the demonstration, state minister Deepika Pandey Singh strongly criticized the central government, claiming that people across the country are facing serious hardship due to the fuel crisis.
Minister Accuses Centre Of Ignoring Public Concerns
Speaking to the media during the protest, Deepika Pandey Singh alleged that the Narendra Modi government has bowed to international pressure, resulting in a crisis that is now affecting ordinary citizens. She said households across the country are worried about how they will manage cooking gas and afford petrol or diesel for daily transportation.
Businesses Also Hit By LPG Shortage
The minister pointed out that the shortage of LPG cylinders is becoming increasingly visible. Businesses that rely heavily on commercial gas cylinders are reportedly struggling, and the impact is gradually reaching household kitchens as well.
Opposition Questions Government’s Priorities
Deepika Pandey Singh further accused the central government of diverting attention from real issues and focusing on symbolic politics instead of addressing the fuel crisis. She claimed that opposition leaders had repeatedly raised concerns about the LPG shortage in Parliament, but the government had not provided a clear response.
Demand For Immediate Relief Measures
The minister urged the central government to restore normal LPG supply and take urgent steps to control rising petrol and diesel prices. She said people across the country are suffering due to the situation and deserve immediate relief.
