Lucknow, June 8: Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, met with the injured child and policeman on Thursday in the hospital. They were hurt in the gunfire incident outside the Lucknow civil court, where mobster Sanjeev Jeeva was killed.

Gangster Sanjeev Jeeva was hauled in for a hearing on Wednesday when he was fatally shot inside the courthouse.

The gangster’s death from his wounds was later confirmed by the police. Two police officers and a child were also hurt in the shooting.

The UP Chief Ministers Office (CMO) said on Wednesday that a three-person Special Investigation Team (SIT) had been created following the incident to investigate the shooting incident inside the Lucknow Civil Court.

“A three-member SIT, including Mohit Agarwal, ADG Technical; Joint CP, Lucknow, Nilabja Chaudhary and Ayodhya IG Praveen Kumar, has been constituted to investigate the incident,” states an official statement from CMO.

The criminal was being brought to court for a hearing after being charged with killing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Brahm Dutt.
