New Delhi, July 7: Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap on Thursday bowed out of the ongoing Malaysia Masters 2022.
In a 34-minute encounter on Court 2 with Indonesian Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Kashyap was defeated 21-10, 21-15. The Indonesian superstar utterly controlled the proceedings in both games, securing his spot in the quarterfinals.
Earlier, on Court 3, China’s Zhang Yiman was defeated by two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu, 21-12, 21-10, in a match that lasted 28 minutes.
While Li Shifeng of China defeated B Sai Praneeth in the men’s singles Round of 16 match, which lasted 42 minutes, B Sai Praneeth was eliminated from the competition. In a men’s singles match later in the day, HS Prannoy will compete against Wang Tzu-Wei of Taiwan.
