Jamshedpur, Oct 10: A 40-year-old man identified as Hider Ali was fatally injured having come in contact with electricity at a motor servicing centre in Chandil near Jamshedpur on Tuesday.
Father of two minor daughters, Hider had gone for the night-shift duty at the service centre, Sai Motors, at Asanboni in Chandil and was electrocuted on duty.
The service centre management first rushed the victim to Gurunanak Nursing Home in Mango. Subsequently, he was shifted to MGM Medical College Hospital (MGMMCH) where he succumbed to his injury.
The victim was a resident of Road No 2 in Azadnagar. His family members rushed to the MGMMCH this morning on getting information that Hider was admitted there. But by the time the family reached the hospital, the electrocution victim had already died.
Hider’s brother-in-law said that there had been a short circuit in the motor vehicle Hider was working on. As a result of the electrical snag, he was electrocuted.
The police have recovered the body and sent it to the MGMMCH mortuary for postmortem.
