Ramgarh, April 8: Maoists torched two JCBs and 3 tractors engaged in bridge construction work at Gola and thrashed four labourers fiercely and set a room on fire.
The incident took place late at night on Friday. In the room which the Maoists set on fire, some money and important documents are said to have been burnt. Sources said this matter may be related to levy. It is being told that this incident has been carried out to establish supremacy there. The militants have carried out this action after not getting the levy.
The bridge construction work is being done here for the last several months, where JCBs and tractors were being used. It is being said that after this incident by the criminals, once again panic has established in the area of Gola.
Naxalites have carried out many major incidents in this area in the last several years. They have become active again after a long time and have carried out this incident.
Police personnel including Ramgarh SP Piyush Pandey, SDPO Kishore Kumar Rajak, Gola police station in-charge Siddhant on Saturday reached the spot and started an investigation. It is being told that here the work of bridge construction is being done by Ravindra Mahato Construction company.
