Ranchi, August 20: BJP state president Deepak Prakash today cleared his party stands on Sunil Tiwary, the political adviser of Babulal Marandi who has landed in trouble following an allegation of sexual exploitation against him and an FIR in this connection at Argora police station.
“The party has been supporting those victims of police atrocity also who are not party workers,” Prakash said when asked about the party position of Sunil Tiwary.
“Tiwary Ji is a journalist and the allegation against him is serious. The nature of the allegation is the same which has been levelled by a girl against our chief minister in Mumbai. Thus it will be better to go for a CBI probe into both the cases,” Prakash said.
The reply of Prakash came when it was informed to him that JMM spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya wanted to know the position of Tiwary in the party during a press conference on Thursday.
Later, Prakash accompanied by BJP legislature party chief Babulal Marandi reached Raj Bhawan to make the latter aware of the situation in the state.
After they came out Marandi was informed that the JMM spokesperson wanted to know his foreign tour details while taking strong exception to the way BJP is trying to rescue Tiwary.
On which, Marandi said he has travelled to foreign countries more than 20 times and does not remember in which hotel he stayed and with whom. Saying this he said: “If knowing his foreign tour details is necessary the state government can probe.”
